PeakTech L19 smart watch was chosen to be used for intelligent medical disposal decision system (IMDDS), which was jointly developed by Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) and PLA General Hospital.

The system adopts PeakTech L19 to monitor some key indicators of the injured (such as heart rate, blood pressure, breath, and blood oxygen, etc.) which can be automatically sent from the watch to the IMDDS server.

Beijing Olympic Games staff manually input initial data of each inquired athletes wearing our L19 smart watch in the IMDDS, which will calculate, monitor, and evaluate body condition of the injured athletes in real time. If any injured athletes’ body parameter reaches a set critical value, the system will alarm automatically to remind the doctors and nurses to give the right rescue in time.

Such system can be used in more disastrous events to make up for the shortage of on-site rescue personnel in sports medicine, and insufficient monitoring.
